Inspired by the Rivers, Grounded in Nature
With an earthy and contemporary-natural design direction, our 4 rooms have been constructed with local & recycled materials and by our local craftsmen. Drawing inspiration from the majestic Western Ghats and the rich Aghanashini ecosystem, we’ve named our rooms after the four major rivers of Uttara Kannada—Kali, Gangavali, Aghanashini, and Sharavati. These rivers, originating in the Western Ghats, nurture rich and diverse ecosystems, supporting a variety of flora and fauna. They create a mosaic of habitats, ranging from pristine forests to estuaries, vital for the survival of numerous species. These rivers are vital for a vibrant ecosystem for many species and hence deserve to be celebrated & preserved. At Panchabhuta, we believe that our mission is more than just providing a comfortable place for our guests to stay. We strive to create an experience that fosters a deep connection with nature, promotes sustainability, and showcases the beauty and significance of the ecosystem around Panchabhuta. Our goal is to inspire our guests to connect with the extraordinary nature around us.
Our property currently features 4 rooms, two rooms on the ground floor, Gangavali and Aghanashini, providing serene views of the adjacent paddy fields and the Kagal Cliff. Gangavali stands out with a cozy sit-out area, perfect for small families to gather and connect. On the first floor, Kali and Sharavati offer guests a panoramic view of the breathtaking landscape.
As we look to the future, we’re excited to expand our offerings. By the end of December 2025, we plan to add 8 new prefab wooden cabins.
Bathrooms
We seamlessly integrated en-suite bathrooms into the bedrooms which earlier did not have any attached facilities. We carefully selected materials such as rough granite stone and oxide making sure it’s durable and resistant to moisture. Additionally, we installed fans in the showers for a refreshing hot shower and pressure pumps to ensure a truly immersive bathing experience. We offer our in-house natural cosmetics in the bathroom, allowing our guests to experience and utilize these products firsthand. Our bathrobes are crafted entirely from upcycled floral waste in collaboration with local artisans. Every element of our bathrooms has been thoughtfully designed—from the materials we selected to the careful planning of each space – to create a harmonious and eco-conscious experience.
